![]() Even the Derby Downs Carousel was closed the first day. There were at least 5 coasters having problems and Iron Dragon was unexpectedly closed. At what point does the park stop being a park of roller coasters when they're broken down more than they are working. It was almost becoming comical how many coasters weren't working. Our 2nd day in the park was warm so then we were looking for ice cream and water rides, none of which were open. We were seriously considering walking all the way back to Breakers for a warm drink at the only other Starbucks. The line at Starbucks was so long that we were searching for other places to get a warm drink on a cold day, but the French Quarter across the midway didn't open until 5pm. There was no ice cream open either day since Toft's was closed. At one point it was hard to find a coaster that was working which meant the wait times shot up for the few that were working. Both mornings Steel Vengeance didn't open on time and continued to have problems. We wasted a lot of time waiting in lines only to have the ride break down. ![]() The first day was pretty good because the crowds were down and most rides were working so we felt like we got our money's worth. We noticed on this trip that there were fewer rides, stores and restaurants open. We had a 2 day park pass for May 18th & 19th. This was our third annual trip to Cedar Point with friends. You may be spending around $200 just for all of that, but at least you don't have to worry about anything. ![]() Overall, it is a fun place to ride some cool attractions, but I suggest buying the food, drink, and fast lane passes. ![]() The souvenirs were horrendously expensive as well, paying $5 for a tiny keychain and nearly $20 for a tiny cup coaster. One complaint is that a lot of the rides like the Gemini and Iron Dragon completely shut down and I saw people get kicked off rides many times for "mechanical issues."Īnother bad thing about Cedar Point are the prices! The ticket and free food/drink pass is already quite expensive, but if you only have a ticket and nothing else you have to spend a minimum of $20 for greasy cheeseburgers that are close to being raw and tasteless French fries. Even though I didn't go on a lot of big rides, it was still nice to walk around and watch the roller coasters "fly by" my head. I went to Cedar Point with a bunch of my classmates. ![]()
